Backflow Installation

During the initial construction of the building (pre LPI’s involvement), premise backflow devices were not installed. To ensure that future testing and service wouldn’t interrupt the water supply to the building, we specified two backflows to be installed in series.

Scope of work

To accommodate the new 4-inch backflow assemblies, we built a dedicated mechanical room. We relocated sprinkler heads to comply with fire code requirements for this space, installed new LED light fixtures, and an electric unit heater to ensure the room is warm during the winter months.

Once the construction of the dedicated backflow assembly room was completed, we mounted and installed two backflow assemblies at the appropriate service height. We installed copper piping, complete with isolation valves and associated support. The installation is complete with PVC jacketing to match the existing piping distribution.
