Rebecca is a crucial part of the LPI Mechanical team, thanks to her more than 25 years of accounting experience and specialization in estate accounting. 

She is detail-oriented, adept at multitasking, and performs well under pressure. As LPI’s Controller, Rebecca is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including managing accounts receivable and payable, overseeing billing and invoicing, analyzing data, and preparing monthly and yearly financial statements. She works closely with project and operations managers to ensure financial directives are followed and accounting systems are well-organized.

Preston Shorey has been a driving force in LPI’s expansion, bringing over two decades of mechanical engineering and design/build experience to the leadership team. He is a professional engineer and journeyman HVAC technician with expertise in complex mechanical projects. In his role as Managing Partner, he oversees LPI’s business activities, alongside Italo, and implements strategies to ensure the company’s continued growth and profitability.

Tony Lunardo has more than 30 years of industry experience and is a licensed plumber. 

He leads and manages the operations team, ensuring quality control, compliance with regulations, and customer satisfaction for new construction projects and services. 

Tony has a talent for building positive relationships with both field technicians and office personnel, and has a track record of effectively managing service delivery and meeting customer expectations. He also identifies opportunities for greater efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement. As a result, Tony is an essential member of the LPI Mechanical team.

Emily Suriano

General Manager, East

As the General Manager, Emily oversees the day-to-day operations of the business. That includes managing benefits and pension plans, running the apprenticeship program for plumbers and HVAC technicians, processing payroll for LPI East, handling expenses and budgets, and helping with employee recruitment. 

Since joining LPI Mechanical in 2007, Emily has become an integral part of the team and continues to take on more responsibilities. She works closely with all departments, third parties, and our team to ensure a successful and positive work environment.

Emily is known for her ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to help out whenever needed. She’s always available to answer any questions or concerns from clients, vendors, or the LPI team.

Chris has a strong track record of leading large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects, ranging from $20M to $25M, for clients including Canada Post, FedEx, Amazon, and Air Canada. 

He has gained extensive knowledge of the construction industry and sustainable design through his work on LEED-certified and net-zero projects, and is dedicated to expanding LPI Mechanical’s presence in the sector. 

As the Director of Construction, Chris uses his relationships in the design/build and construction industry to mentor his team, evaluate and manage bid opportunities, oversee the design and construction departments, and identify future growth opportunities.

As the Director of Construction and Capital Projects, Michael coordinates small construction projects from start to finish and works with all departments, including the Service division, to estimate costs, schedule work, and allocate labor and materials. 

He is involved in construction projects across Western Canada and is committed to promoting transparency and building strong, lasting relationships with clients. 

In addition to his construction management responsibilities, Michael also assists the Director of Sales with business development in Western Canada and helps property managers prepare mechanical budgets for capital projects.

Rawad is the Senior Project Manager for Eastern Canada and is responsible for managing a variety of projects, designing technical systems, estimating costs, and mentoring and guiding coordinators and project managers. 

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and has completed an Engineering Software skill enhancement program, as well as the PMP certification (for project management professionals), LEED green associate certification, and P.Eng recognition from PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario).

Patrick Russell is an accomplished sales and business development leader with more than 23 years of industry experience. As LPI’s Director of Business Development, Patrick is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the company’s customer base. 

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Dalhousie University, and 18 years of experience in the BOMA community, Patrick brings a wealth of industry knowledge to his role. In 2018, he received the prestigious BOMA Individual Award of Excellence in recognition of his exceptional work ethic and strategic thinking. Patrick’s dedication to his clients and passion for sales make him a valuable asset to LPI and our customers.

As the Service Manager, Bob is responsible for managing the entire Service Department, including the Backflow and Vactor division. He oversees the customer service team and the plumbing and HVAC service technicians, and specializes in maintenance contracts, client and field relations, quoting, tendering, and daily billing inquiries. 

Bob also handles the dispatching process, responds to 24/7 emergencies, ensures the service fleet and maintenance is up-to-date, and helps troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. 

With more than 20 years of experience as a Service Manager, Bob works closely with the Sales Department on HVAC contracts and general service inquiries and is dedicated to maintaining strong relationships with clients.

With 14 years of experience in the HVAC/R industry, Hailey has honed her skills in client relations, maintaining active contracts, and coordinating technicians and materials for service calls. She also leads service meetings with the director of operations and ensures our technicians are prepared to deliver top-quality service. 

Hailey started her career as a receptionist before moving into dispatch and service invoicing, and eventually managing the maintenance department. With a background as a dispatcher for a plumbing and HVAC/R company, Hailey has a deep understanding of the industry and is trained in accounting and bookkeeping.

As the Technical Service Manager, Bert is a licensed Refrigeration Mechanic and Gas Technician who oversees the field operations of the HVAC division for large construction projects and small capital projects. 

He works with clients across Eastern Canada, provides coaching and training to HVAC apprentices and journeymen, and helps find solutions to complex projects to ensure they run smoothly and safely.

Bryan leads the Estimating Department team as head Estimator.  He has been a mechanical estimator for 7 years now and has a range of experience in the industry.  His journey started in a small ICI mechanical company mainly focused on hospital projects and schools ranging from $15,000 to $12,000,000.00. He then moved on to a mechanical equipment sales companyspecializing in hydronic heating. Wanting more of a challenge, he went back to contracting to be involved in the entire bidding process. He has now found that with LPI Mechanical.

Since starting at LPI in September 2023, Bryans focus has been on working to expand LPI’s AutoBid system. As software is the present and future of this industry, he needs to be able to rely on it to win bids. This is why a program like AutoBid must be set up as perfectly. Bryan leverages his extensive network and experience to winning tenders and foster new relationships. He is a vital part of the team and relentless in his pursuit to be a successful estimator.
