The project involved replacing existing domestic cold water booster pumps.

Scope of work

Our team transported the new packaged Armstrong duplex booster pump package to the site. The package included VFDs and a smart control panel. We partially disassembled the booster package to allow for transportation to the mechanical room. To proceed with the installation, we isolated the domestic cold water to the building at the main meter and froze the cold water riser using a passing valve. This allowed us to remove the old booster pump without draining the building.

We removed the existing booster pump and disposed of it offsite. We placed the new booster package on the existing housekeeping pad and connected it to the domestic water main. We commissioned the pump according to Armstrong pumps’ guidelines, and set it to parameters that matched the existing building pressures.
